†Lives:
Guy's lived in a fair number of places throughout his 21 years. Some hold fonder memories than others, and some are no longer there. Below is a run-down of the places Guy has either called home or wished to call home.
• BATICUL: Duke Fabre's Manor
Guy has spent most of his life at the Fabre mansion in Baticul, acting as a servant and best friend to the only son of the Fabre's - Luke. He shares a room with Pere (the gardner) in the right wing of the manor. His side of the room is the right side; the floor and table are littered with random fon machines and the tapestry hanging above his bedpost (Pere has one too) is folded up so that the Kimlascan emblem is obscured. This is where he lived until after it became known that he was a Malkuth nobleman and after defeating Van for the first time.
• GRAND CHOKMAH
After defeating Van for the first time and after everyone went back to their own lives, Guy moved out of the Fabre mansion and into Grand Chokmah. Emperor Peony reinstated his noble status and had a manor of his own built. Having Guy live in the city is convient for Peony, as he has Guy walk his rappigs everyday. This is where he (Guy) presumably went back to after the end of the game.
• ISLE OF HOD: Gardios estate
Guy was born in the Gardios mansion, located on the Isle of Hod, in ND1996. The buildings on Hod were designed by the same man that built the buildings on the Isle of Ferres - an island located in the Hod Archipelago. Guy lived there but a short time; however, the memory of it has stayed with him forever. It was in his bedroom that the Kimlascan forces killed his sister and his maids - an event that caused him to fear women & lose a part of his memory.
• SHERIDAN
Guy's dream city - a city of fontech and machines. Luke remarked that Guy should just move here, since he would then be surrounded by people who shared his enthusiasm for fontech. Whether or not he actually ever decides to live here is unknown; although, it is unlikely as he would never abandoned his heritage (that of being part of House Gardios).

†Personality:
Guy Cecil is the easygoing, carefree servant/best-friend/big brother to Luke fon Fabre. Although he can (and does) get angry, Guy is normally calm and cheerful - always trying to lighten up the mood and cheer up his companions. Guy is seen as the comic relief of sorts, especially during the beginning portions of the game. This is mainly due to his gynophobia (fear of women). See, Guy has a natural tendency to be friendly - especially with the females. However, due to an event in the past (of which he doesn't remember the details about 'till later in the game) he cannot even get near a girl without shaking and freaking-out. As you can imagine, this leads to some humorous situations as there are three female party members.
When Guy gets serious, you better watch out! He's totally focused during battles and is quite deadly. Sometimes, he can get quite angry - mostly when dealing with death/people's worth. When Luke talks about sacrificing himself, Guy vehemontly opposes the idea, believing that clinging to life is the best option. Guy believes that people should live no matter what, and doesn't condone sacrifices of any kind.

†Fighting Style: Guy's artes are from of the Sigmund-style school of swordplay which is a branch of the popular Albert-style. It is only practiced by those hailing from House Gardios or those associated with said house. As such, it was imperative that the origin's of Guy's sword skills were never discovered by any of the Kimlascan higher-ups (ie. Duke Fabre). This was somewhat easy to accomplish because the similairity to the Albert-style of swordmanship which Luke (and presumably, other Kimlascans) use.

†Mother: EUGENIE CECILLE GARDIOS
Guy's mother. She was a Kimlascan noble before her arranged marriage into the Gardios family. Depsite this, she refused to aid in the attack against the Gardios family. As such, she was killed along with the rest of the family. Guy's alias "Cecil" is derived from her maiden name, "Cecille."
†Father COUNT ZYGMUNT BAZIN GARDIOS Count Gardios is Guy's father, and died along with the rest of the family during the Kimlascan attack. Nothing else is known about him.
†Siblings: Sister: MARYBELLE "MARY" RADAN GARDIOS
Guy's older sister. She protected him when Kimlascan soldiers broke into the room where they were hiding - sacrificing herself so that Guy could live. Later on, during ToA, Van made a replica of her using the data from Hod. Although she wasn't "Mary" anymore, Guy couldn't bring himself to harm her. Ironically, Mary's replica ended up sacrificing herself so that her fellow replicas could find a place to live in the "original's world" - just as her original had sacrificed herself for Guy, so that he might find his place in the Hod-less world.
†Cousin: GENERAL JOZETTE CECILLE
Guy's cousin. Because of the incident with Guy's mother, Eugenie Cecille, during the Hod War, the Cecille family lost its noble status in Kimlasca. As such, Jozette has worked tiressly to regain her family's lost honor - even going so far as to refuse the hand of the man she loved, simply because he was from Malkuth. Once Kimlasca and Malkuth signed a peace treaty, ending their war, Guy informed her that there were no more obstacles to her marrying General Frings. Because of what happened to his family, Guy only wished for Jozette's happiness and Luke even reassured her that his father, Duke Fabre, would allow it. Diaster struck, however, before the two could wed - General Frings died in an attack by replicated Kimlascan soldiers. When Jozette heard that Frings had be replicated himself by Van and was at the Tower of Rem, she went over there to give the replica the wedding clothes she had made (as a tradition) for Frings. When she got there, the replicas' sacrifice had already taken place. Distraught, Jozette lamented about how she shouldn't have waited so long and that now, there was not a single trace of him left. Guy comforted her, telling her that with his dying breath, Frings only wished for her to be happy in the new, Score-less world.

†History:
Guy Cecil is in actuality the only surviving member of House Gardios, a noble house of the Malkuth Empire. The Gardios family's main house was located on the Isle of Hod and it was there that Guy lived with his family. Guy was born as Gailardia Galan Gardios, the only son of Count Zygmunt Gardios and his wife, Eugenie Gardios.
His childhood was happy and normal until the Hod War started, around ND2001. Tragically, the war started on Guy's fifth birthday. As per custom on Auldrant, a Score was read on a person's birthday telling them what would happen that year. A Scorer was beginning to read young Guy's Score when the Hod War broke out. The Kimlascan army, under Duke Fabre, invaded Hod and many people were killed - both soldiers and civilians. Duke Fabre personally lead the attack on the Gardios' family manor, laughing as he killed the servants and nobles inside. When Kimlascan soldiers broke into the room where Guy, his older sister Mary, and some maids were hiding, Guy was so terrified he couldn't run. In order to save young Guy from being killed, Mary and the maids shielded him from the blows of the Kimlascan soldiers. Later, Guy awoke to find himself trapped under their bodies and soaked with their blood. The experience was so tramatic that the young Guy blocked it out of his memory and developed his fear of physcial contact with women. If that wasn't bad enough, the entire island of Hod was destroyed (by Van, who was forced to do it) when the Sephiroth supporting it collasped. Guy was later picked up by the Kimlascan army and was made a servant/babysitter for the Fabre's son, Luke (Asch).
When Guy first came to Baticul - along with Pere - to serve in the house of his most hated enemy, he was filled with an intense desire for revenge. Guy even mentions at one point that his hatred for the Fabres and his quest for venegance was what kept him going for a long time. That is, until, he met Luke (not Asch). Guy had always been Luke's (Asch's) servant, but when Luke (the replica) came back from being "kidnapped", Guy became his babysitter/teacher as well. Thus, the two started bonding and it was this bond that would eventually enable Guy to free himself of his hatred. In ND2017, an assassin (Tear) came to the Fabre manor in order to kill Dorian General Grants. It was during this attack that Luke was whisked away to the other side of the world by an unintentional second-order hyperresonance. Since Guy was the one who knew Luke best and because he was Luke's personal servant, Guy was assigned the task of finding Luke and bringing him back. Guy eventually found Luke trying to escape the God-Generals onboard the Tartarus. His dramatic entrance enabled Luke, Tear, and Jade to get a hold on the situation and the trio (plus Ion & Mieu) were able to escape the generals. Now reunited with Luke, Guy explained why he was there and of course, offered to help Luke go back to Baticul.
Many things happened on the way to Baticul and still more drama infolded once they arrived at the Kimlascan capital. As it turned out, the whole reason the Fon Master, Anise, and Jade where going to Baticul was because of the trouble at Akzeriuth. Akzeriuth was a mining city in the Malkuth Empire, however, it used to belong to Kimlasca. The Emperor of Malkuth formally requested the help of Kimlascans and thus started a quest that would eventually lead to the party's discovery of just how much Guy is obsessed with fontech, the existence of the Qliphoth, and Van's ultimate goal to recreate a replica goal, among other things. During their quest, information on Guy's past and family were revealed; however, Guy's bond with Luke only became stronger. Jade, Anise, Ion, Natalia, and Tear all became close friends with Guy during their quest to stop Van and his twisted vision. Everything was finally over (or so they thought at the time) when they defeated Van at the Absorption Gate and split up to go back to their homes (and help the world cope being in the Qliphoth without the Score).
